Be aware, not discouraged

A letter to the editor in today's Boston Globe speaks to the Allegra Goodman column I posted last week. Writer Bart Stewart speaks honestly -- with more than a touch of bitterness -- about how hard it is to get a book published these days.

My advice: Be aware of the current ridiculousness of the publishing industry, but don't give up. Just have a day job.
