An overbooked night for the modern journalist

Started out headed to the Media Lab event on newsroom innovation,but was wait-listed. Lured downstairs to the Boston Phoenix panel.  Stayed there for an hour then headed off to a Knight News Challenge event. -- which is focused on health this year. At the same time, the sold-out IgNobel ceremony – which awards prizes for the world wackiest health and science research -- was running across town and on the Internet. And, I missed reading at Porter Square Books on A House in the Sky,” by Amanda Lindhout and Sara Corbet, which was excerpted in the NYTimes magazine.
