Another paper goes down -- Bay State Banner

Sort of, maybe but probably

Boston's 40-year-old newspaper for the African-American community appears to be the latest casualty in the demise of newsprint.

The Globe reports, quoting the Phoenix story.

Speaking of the Phoenix, Adam Reilly's "Don't Quote Me" blog offers a clear-eyed look at the media scene.

For snarky, funny, often juvenile comments on the local media, see the Weekly Dig’s
un-bylined Media Farm. (Wouldn’t want one of those nasty clips showing up during an interview for a grown-up job at say Boston Magazine or The Globe, which they mock constantly. Whoever they are.)
