We visit Martha’s Vineyard each summer and we always arrive loaded with books and New Yorkers. We still like to visit the Bunch of Grapes bookstore in Vinyard Haven. (Not to be confused with the tee-shirt store with a similar grapey name.) But, a fire last year shut it down. So, all we found was a stinky burned-out building.
But, the store has scheduled its grand opening for July 4. So, if you’re on the Vineyard, check it out. Or, support your local independent bookstore. Mine is the Harvard Book store – open late, not affiliated with the university and loaded with new and used books. Find your own here and remember that most do mail order.
