When doctors write

I used to complain that the doctors should leave the writing to us underemployed writers. But, this looks pretty good.

"When Doctors Are Writers"
Wednesday, March 11th

Cambridge Forum is pleased to present internationally best-selling Maine author and physician TESS GERRITSEN (The Bone Garden) for a conversation with Dr. Elissa Ely about how writing affects their respective medical practices and vice-versa. What kind of attention and analysis does the practice of medicine require? How do the demands of being a doctor differ from the demands of writing? And is writing a respite from medicine or an extension of it?

The night's program will be moderated by fellow physician Sasha Helper, and Dr. Gerritsen's newest book, The Keepsake, will be available for purchase
