NU News Open House

Short notice, I know. But, Boston student journalists take note.

From Northeastern University announcements

This Just In: The NU News is Having an Open House

07/16/2008
Ever wonder what a real living, breathing newsroom looks like? For 82 years, the Northeastern News has contributed to the university in ways beyond helping students prepare for careers in journalism, advertising and business. It has served as a source of information for our community and as a chance for its members to voice their views and concerns. As part of its evolution, your college newspaper is in the process of making some exciting changes.

In September, it will change its name and relocate its offices from the second floor of the Curry Student Center into leased space on Huntington Avenue, near Boston House of Pizza and Symphony Market.

We would like to invite you to join us for an open house at our new digs, at 295 Huntington Ave., on Thursday, July 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. Take this opportunity to unwind over hors d'oeuvres and meet a few of your student editors as we open the doors to the university community's latest laboratory for learning.Producing a student newspaper remains one of the best experiences available in a college setting.

As an independent corporation, your college newspaper will be a model for integrating classroom learning with real-world experience, central to Northeastern's mission since 1898. All alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends are welcome.
